MCO kids MCO education newsletter

Students love the excitement
of live chamber music!

Whether it’s a school band or choir, Orff group, recorder ensemble, or private lessons, children learn through music! There are many reasons to bring the young people in your life to an MCO event — they won’t hear anything like this anywhere else.

Help them create a cultural and musical framework for themselves. Show them where their music studies can lead — they can become an audience member, composer, conductor, musician, board member, donor, educator or CD purchaser. Have fun sharing music with them and with other avid music fans.

School visits — the MCO comes to you

We enthusiastically support the wonderful work being done in the Frontier School Division fiddling program! A roaming troupe of MCO string players offers workshops and mini-concerts in schools throughout the province and in the Seven Oaks School Division.

Open dress rehearsals — you come to the MCO!

Bring your school group to our home at Westminster United Church for a special 50-minute open dress rehearsal. Learn about the work that goes into presenting a professional orchestral performance. Watch musicians and conductor rehearse and be the first to hear what audiences will hear that night! Tickets $5.25, including GST. Click here for order form. Available dates:
